Kate O’Brien: So I decided to join HIF with my partner Laura after a lot of research into different types of health insurance and decided that HIF was the best one because of their information that they provide about same-sex couples and being able to be on the same policy which is something that a lot of other companies don’t’ do and don’t advertise that they do. HIF was very forthcoming with all their information that they provided on their website and so it was really easy to transfer from two separate funds over to HIF, all online.
Laura Elkerton: We were looking for a company that supported the same values as us and HIF advertised that on their website and had a lot of information about providing cover for same-sex couples.
Kate O’Brien: Marriage equality and equality in general are something that’s really important; we wanted a company that supported the same values that we did, like Laura said, so it’s really important to us. We’ve made a few claims through HIF so far and it’s been so easy, they’ve been really supportive and definitely a company I’d recommend.
