If you hold an eligible Extras policy then you will be eligible to claim a benefit for a "Diabetes Education" consultation or information session held by an accredited Diabetes Educator with Diabetes Australia. Benefit amounts and policy limits can be found on our Extras Comparison Table.
Essentially, this is a benefit for a charge raised by Diabetes Australia when a person attends a consultation or information session in relation to diabetes.
Please note:
- This does not mean that you need to be a diabetic. A diabetes consultation can relate to information you should be aware of because a friend or family member has diabetes.
This benefit does not cover a membership to the Diabetes Association.
A doctor’s referral is not required.
